Easy Banana Oatmeal

 

This dish is one of those tried-and-true classics that have become a breakfast staple for a reason. Or a number of them! First of all, it is incredibly easy to whip up, as the title suggests. Second, it’s a nutritious breakfast option that will keep you full long enough (i.e. until lunch). Finally, it’s fully adjustable to your preferences! And did we mention it’s made with only 5 basic ingredients in 3 easy steps? This easy banana oatmeal fits all! It’s affordable, pantry-friendly, fuss-free, completely vegan yet can be made into as much of a treat as you want it to be.

Easy Banana Oatmeal

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of oat milk
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, mash the banana with a fork. 
  2. Add all remaining ingredients, bring to a simmer and cook until thick and creamy, stirring occasionally. It will take 10-15 minutes. 
  3. Serve warm topped with caramelized banana slices, blackberries, vegan chocolate chips and any other toppings of your choice.
