Layered Smoothie

Ingredients

For the Base

  • 2 bananas
  • 2 cups frozen mango chunks
  • 1 cup frozen peach slices
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 2 tsp ground flax seed

For the Pink Layer

  • 1/2 base (see above)
  • 1 cup frozen pink pitaya (dragonfruit) or frozen raspberries or strawberries

Instructions

  • Blend the base ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth.
  • Set 1/2 of the base aside, then blend the other half with the frozen dragonfruit.
  • Next, layer the base and pink layer in jars and enjoy!

Notes

  • The layers need to be very thick to stay in place. If your smoothie is a bit too liquid, either add more frozen fruit or place it in the freezer until it firms up before layering.
