Vanilla glaze donuts


Ingredients

  • DONUTS:
  • 1 cup wheat flour (or another flour of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup cane sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon apple sauce
  • ¼ cup vegan butter
  • VANILLA GLAZE:
  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 3 tsp non dairy milk
  • 2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp of vegan butter
  • splash of lemon extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. DONUTS:
  2. Melt vegan butter and combine all ingredients into a mixing bowl. Mix in the vegan butter to the mixture. Mix until all clumps are removed and it’s a dough like consistency.
  3. Using a tablespoon scoop out mixture into donut pans and fill to the top.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes.
  5. Let sit in room temperature for 10 minutes in donut pan, then take donuts out of pan. Once fully cooled you can begin decorating.
  6. VANILLA GLAZE:
  7. Mix together. If too thick add more milk. For chocolate glaze just add a few spoon fills of cacao powder to mixture. Use vegan icing to create designs. and food coloring for base colors!
