Green Smoothie for Glowy Skin from 125 Best Juices, Smoothies and Healthy Snacks

This smoothie is great for the skin . . . and the whole self! Which makes sense, since the body, mind and spirit are really one sweet organism. Spinach offers iron and other micronutrients, banana is rich in potassium, rice milk contains manganese and selenium and cucumber is hydrating. Feel free to add some collagen if you find it works for you (the science on consuming collagen is still out, but some people swear by it—so just go with what feels right for you).

Ingredients

  • 1 cup 30 g spinach
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup 237 ml rice milk
  • ¼ cup 30 g cucumber, chopped into 1-inch (2.5-cm) pieces
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vegan collagen powder - optional

Instructions

  • Wash, peel and chop the produce as needed.
  • In a blender, add the spinach, banana, milk, cucumber, maple syrup and collagen (if using). Blend until smooth.
  • Add an ice cube or two, if desired. Enjoy right away!
