We Tried Amy’s Kitchen’s New Vegan Meals, Made With Organic Ingredients

We’ve been longtime fans of Amy’s Kitchen’s products and were, therefore, particularly excited to try some of the new vegan products they launched this year. Here are some of our favorites. We think you will love them too!

Merging Convenience, Cooking and Creativity

I don’t know about you; but if I had my way, my weekly responsibilities would never take up more than an hour or, better yet, be non-existent, and I’d have the time (and money) to go to the market every morning and then cook myself a healthy, plant-based dish for every meal of the day. Alas, that is not how most people’s lives are; and while I do still get to cook a lot, I rely on meal prepping and ready-made fare to get me through each week while still making sure everything I eat is delicious and made with quality ingredients. Luckily, Amy’s Kitchen shares that philosophy and encourages cooking with organic ingredients whenever you can, providing ready-made meals for whenever time is scarce or you simply don’t feel like cooking (for instance, as someone who makes food for a living, I actually enjoy not having to cook as much during my off time). I personally also like to #StartWithAmys and then add my own sauces and some extra ingredients to switch it up. I am very excited to introduce you to some of Amy’s Kitchen’s newest additions that prove that ready-made doesn’t mean that you have to sacrifice taste.

Wraps

Editor’s pick: Amy’s Moroccan Tagine Wrap

Amy’s new wraps brilliantly combine the best flavors and make for the perfect on-the go meal. If you have access to a freezer at work, you could even store a few wraps there and always have them available for lunch or a mid-afternoon savory snack.

#StartWithAmys Serving Suggestion: You can absolutely enjoy these wraps without adding anything to them; but if you wanted to switch it up a little, you could add any store-bought or homemade sauce or dressing (to make your own tahini dip, simply mix a tablespoon of tahini with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of water, a tablespoon of nutritional yeast and half a teaspoon of garlic salt). These wraps also go well with some couscous, steamed root vegetables or a side salad.

Pizzas

Editor’s pick: Gluten Free, Vegan Meatless Pepperoni

A classic crowd pleaser, pizza is an all-time favorite in kitchens all across the world. The brilliance of Amy’s new pizzas is that they combine allergy-friendly food with convenience and taste since they are both gluten- and dairy-free. Add to that their meatless pepperoni and you’ve got yourself a new favorite for ethical vegans and vegetarians, who still want to indulge in the foods they grew up with as kids. With a crispy thin (but not too thin) crust and delicious toppings, you can enjoy this as a meal or a shared appetizer that’ll leave you satiated and content.

#StartWithAmys Serving Suggestion: while this pizza is perfect as is, you can definitely get creative and add your favorite veggies and even more vegan cheeze. My tip: add 1 cup of baby spinach, some chopped red onion, minced garlic and bell pepper and top with a half cup of  vegan mozzarella.

Asian Bowls

Editor’s pick: Sweet & Sour Bowl + Asian Dumpling Bowl

Amy’s Asian Bowls are among my favorite of their products because they’re just so flavorful and easy to prep. The Asian Dumpling Bowl launched last year and the Sweet & Sour Bowl launch just a few months ago, both are equally delicious. Tip: I always have at least 2 or 3 of these bowls in my freezer. I love knowing that I have something to eat even if I forget or am too busy to go to the market that day. They’re also perfect for people who travel a lot and want to avoid creating too much food waste. If you have children, these also make for a quick and easy, delicious meal.

#StartWithAmys Serving Suggestion: While the bowls are tasty as is, I sometimes like to add ingredients I happen to have at hand. Both of these bowls can be paired with any veggies of your choosing, like more broccoli, snow peas or bell peppers. If you want to add more sauce, I’d recommend going with a sauce that is similar to the one already included.
