Spicy South African Fries



  • 500g of precooked fries (any grocery store bag of fries will do)
  • (each) of 3 different colored bell peppers, diced
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced
  • ½  small red onion, diced
  • 2 Tb cilantro, chopped
  • ½  Tsp salt
  • ½  Tb chili flakes


  1. Deep fry fries in medium-hot oil until crispy then set aside
  2. Sauté onions, garlic & peppers until translucent
  3. Mix in chili flakes until they have a slight change in color(slightly darker)
  4. Toss in French fries & Salt.
  5. Top with Cilantro!
  6. Ready to serve!
